Acer palmatum 'Garnet'

Acer palmatum ‘Garnet’ is a medium-sized deciduous shrub known for its outstanding colour and vigor. It has large, deeply cut, dissected leaves of great beauty. In spring, it produces small purple flowers, which give way to red fruits. The late autumn colour is a vivid purple-red. The cultivar was named after the gemstone garnet, with which it shares its stunning red foliage colour during spring and summer. It is a pendulous dissectum Japanese maple with a great umbrella-like shape.
