As the name suggest these plants generally creep along the ground forming a matt across the soil. Many people add ground cover plants to their gardens to prevent weeds from coming up. Some ground cover plants can be evergreen whilst others can be annuals (Die away in frost).

Some ground cover plants can be quite evasive, so please check the growing habit before planting.
